Questions & answers

What is GNIZDO?

The Ukrainian Association of Veteran Drone Pilots «GNIZDO» brings together AFU veterans, combat operators, civilian FPV pilots and engineers. We train pilots, run drone-racing tournaments and develop unmanned-system technologies. The association was founded in 2025 in Lviv.

How do I join GNIZDO?

Three steps: a short application on the website (about 5 minutes), an intro meeting with an association representative and a trial training with our coaches, then membership with access to trainings, equipment, competitions and the community.

Are there membership fees?

No. Membership fees are currently not set — the association is funded by voluntary donations, grants and targeted funding.

From what age can you learn FPV flying?

From age 12. Training is step by step and safe, with a coach: simulator, then a tiny whoop, then a real FPV drone.

Does GNIZDO compete internationally?

Yes. In 2026 the team represented Ukraine at the world drone-racing championship and the MultiGP European Championship in Aichtal, Germany, and won team silver in the United Kingdom.

How can I contact the association?

Email gnizdoteam@gmail.com or use the form on the Contacts page. Office: Lviv, 4-B M. Lukasha St.
